If this isn't an eye-opening image, I don't know what is. This graphic from Visual Economics breaks down what the average American consumes in terms of pounds. Guess how many pounds of french fries we eat in one year?

29 lbs of french fries!

The good news is that our fruit and veggie consumption is higher than I expected (fruits at 273.2 lbs and veggies at 415.4 lbs) -- but dairy comes in at a whopping 600.5 lbs!
