Yoga Helps Man Lose 120 Pounds

When Ron Splude walked into his first yoga class twenty years ago, he was overweight, unhappy, and totally stressed-out. But then yoga began to work some of its magic...

Ron tells MyDesert about his amazing yogic journey, which he began from a place that most of us can't even relate to:

"I really struggled with it in the beginning. I weighed about 120 pounds more than I do now, and I couldn't sit on the floor without falling over. I was just too fat."

His teacher, Patricia Hansen, encouraged Ron to come back and convinced him that yoga wasn't just about changing his body -- it was 'about changing his life.'

With Patricia's guidance, Ron continued his practice: "The more I took classes, the more I felt it was something I really wanted to do."

Fast forward to 2011 and Ron is a successful yoga teacher in the Palm Springs area -- namaste to that!
