When I was a little my parents were really into the Chicago Bears, or as we Illinois residents referred to them, Da Bears! Jim McMahon was the pretty boy quarterback with a temper problem. William Perry, aka The Fridge, protected the team with his size and force. Da Bears even made their own rap video, called the Superbowl Shuffle. (My parents still have it on VHS somewhere in the basement.) The coolest part of all was that the team was rumored to practice ballet to gain flexibility, range of motion, and focus. Ballet! I did ballet! We had something in common.

If they only they'd known about the super powers of yoga back then, who knows how many superbowls they could have swept. Anyone toting around a yoga mat today will talk your ear off about the long list of expansive benefits of regular practice. Those who don't practice yet are missing out on the golden ticket to a super brain, super body, and super hero capabilities. The word is out on the street, in locker rooms, Harvard medical studies, doctors offices, and anywhere you turn, yoga can lead to better performance and a big edge over any opponent that doesn't practice. LeBron, Maria Sharapova, the Philadelphia Eagles, Daylan Childress, and other pros are fully on the band wagon and reaping the benefits for a lifetime. Not only will yoga improve performance, but it will prevent injury, and keep you healthy and strong for life.

Watch the video to hear why and how yoga is especially beneficial for pros and weekend warriors alike.
