Thanks to the fruits and superfoods (spirulina, chlorella and chia seeds) it contains, this simple green smoothie will help you get the nutrition you need on a daily basis: chlorophyll, iron, beta-carotene, essential fatty acids, vitamin C and much more. I hope you like it!
The Ultimate Spirulina Smoothie
- 1 lemon (peeled)
- 1 orange (peeled)
- 1/2 banana (peeled)
- 1 Tbsp. spirulina (or more)
- 1 Tbsp. chlorella (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 to 2 cups filtered water
- Cacao nibs
- Hemp seeds
Garnish with your favorite toppings. Here I've used cacao nibs and hemp seeds.
Note: you can add 1 or 2 ice cubes into the blender if you prefer it chilled.
