An Avocado Ranch Dip You Won't Regret Eating!
The first time I made this recipe, my mind was blown. I LOVE ranch dressing, but looking at the calories and contents listed on the bottle was killing me. A single tablespoon of brand-name ranch clocks in at 145 calories and contains a mixture of oils, salts, sugars and preservatives. There had to be a better way!
Well, here it is! Not only is this recipe incredibly easy to make, but it offers a much healthier alternative to what you would typically buy at the store. It's flexible to specific dietary needs (you can switch out yogurt for vegan mayo or blended cashews) and is packed with healthy fats and antioxidants.
- 1 large avocado
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup fat-free yogurt (use Greek yogurt if you want a thicker dressing)
- 1 tsp. hot sauce
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Simply combine all the ingredients in a food processor and ta-da! You have guilt-free ranch dressing to enjoy to your heart's content
