It's time to put away the pills and make plants boss. It will make you feel better period. Here's a recipe to start you on your way.
Perfect Salad Topping: Sesame & Citrus Slaw
- 1/4 of a red cabbage head, grated (about 1/2 cup / 50g)
- 1 large carrot or 2 small carrots, grated (about 1/2 cup / 75g)
- 3 red radishes, grated (about 1/2 cup / 65g)
- 1/4 of a red onion, grated (about 1/4 cup / 35g)
- juice from 1 orange
- 1/4 of an avocado
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Mixed greens
- Sesame seeds
Grate the cabbage, carrot, radish and red onion and place in a bowl (to make it faster, you can use the grater apparatus of your food processor).
Place the orange juice, avocado, sesame oil and salt in the food processor or in a blender and blend until smooth.
Add the dressing over the grated veggies and stir to combine.
Place some mixed greens on a plate, top with slaw and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
