I’m in a love affair with winter. The steaming coffee, chilly gray mornings and the copious layers of socks at night. What my love affair doesn’t always have room for is raw greens ... but when they’re all dressed up in this Magic Miso Almond Sauce, oh yes, there's room indeed!

Making this sauce is like concocting a health potion. Almond butter for your omega-3 healthy fats, miso for a probiotic infusion, raw honey as an antibacterial sweetness, garlic and ginger as anti-inflammatory immune boosters and turmeric as the antioxidant superhero. Slather it all on some chopped kale, roasted Brussels sprouts, cucumbers and salmon ... you’ve got yourself a delicious, hearty meal.

Magic Miso Sauce

Directions:

  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 2 tbsp. miso
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 2 cloves of freshly minced garlic
  • 1 inch of grated ginger
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • drizzle of sesame oil
  • small splash of apple cider vinegar
  • water to thin, about 1/4 cup

Directions:

Stir all ingredients but water together in a cup until well combined. Slowly add water to reach the desired consistency ... it should be more liquid than solid and pour easily!
