Grain-Free, Dairy-Free Muesli Recipe
Welcome to our new "Breakfast with Jon" series. If you don’t know me, I lost over 220 pounds with a holistic mind-body weight loss approach that I call The Gabriel Method. In this series I'll introduce you to breakfasts that change your body on a cellular and hormonal level. No more mid-morning junk food cravings! You’ll feel less hunger, while you keep your blood sugar stable and nourish your body.
All breakfasts should include “The Big 3”:
- Live foods
- Some form of omega-3 fats
Today we’re making a hearty breakfast that includes The Big 3 and is filling and nutritious — despite being free from typical breakfast ingredients like grains, gluten and dairy.
Grain-Free, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Muesli
Preparation time: 10 minutes ; Serving Size: ½ cup
- 1 ½ cups almonds
- 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
- ¾ cup sunflower seeds
- ¼ cup sesame seeds
- ¾ cup desiccated coconut
- 1 cup flax seeds
- ¼ cup almond butter
- 1/3 cup tahini
- ¼ cup coconut palm sugar
- ¼ cup water
- fresh fruit (optional)
- nut milk (optional)
Place all ingredients in the food processor. Mix together until well-combined and beginning to stick together.
Serve with fresh fruit and nut milk for a delicious start to your day.
Tip: Mixture can be kept refrigerated in an airtight container (without nut milk).
