Q&A

What is your wellness philosophy?

Connecting to and honoring the triad of wholeness: mind. body. spirit. We are multidimensional energetic beings and we have to look at all parts of ourselves to be truly well. One cannot simply workout and eat well and expect happiness and health. Everything is connected and the more we allow ourselves to see the whole self vs a compartmentalized version, the more healthy and well we become.

What brought you into wellness?

My own pain. I got into these practices because I had very bad anxiety and excruciating back pain. I was very type A, had a successful career on Capitol Hill and then in a Fortune 500 company, and I was in terrible physical pain. I took Advil every day and drank a lot of wine to try and alleviate the pain that no doctor, masseuse or chiropractor could ever really help.

What does You. We. All. mean to you?

That we are all connected. Your health and happiness is mine. Mine is yours. That we are all here to thrive and in order to do so, we have to get out of the “I” and into the “We” so everyone can be seen and everyone can recognize themselves in another and where we can all remember that we are worthy of being well.

What’s your best piece of wellness advice?

Slow down. Life is not a race. You are right on time wherever you are and honoring your needs and your body’s signals will end up deeply supporting you, not harming you.
