Nate Martinez
Nate Martinez is a sound therapy practitioner and meditation teacher with over 25 years of experience exploring sound as a tool for storytelling, transformation, and wellness. His career spans roles as a touring musician, producer, engineer, sound designer, composer, and collaborator with artists like Bob Weir and The National. In 2011, Martinez’s focus shifted toward the therapeutic potential of sound—how it can influence consciousness, support healing, and deepen self-awareness.
In 2014, he founded NTM Sound, launching one of NYC’s first monthly sound bath programs at the Brooklyn Zen Center and collaborating with studios like Sky Ting and MNDFL. Since then, he’s worked with global brands including Google, Amazon, Nike, and BlackRock to create immersive wellness experiences rooted in deep listening. Martinez’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Vogue, Prevention, and Well Good, and is trusted by leading organizations seeking meaningful, sound-based programming. As a composer and sound designer, Martinez creates functional music and content libraries for meditation apps and wellness brands—crafting soundscapes that help listeners access calm, clarity, and flow. Whether through immersive sessions or public speaking, his goal is simple: to help people reconnect with themselves—through sound.
