Melissa Ben-Ishay is the co-founder of Baked by Melissa, the dessert brand celebrated for its bite-size cupcakes. Founded in New York City in 2008, Baked by Melissa has many stores around the city and ships nationwide, with Melissa personally developing over eighty flavors a year. In 2020, Melissa’s recipes went viral on TikTok, inspiring millions of people to finely chop salads for the perfect ratio of flavors in every bite. Her second cookbook, Come Hungry, launched as an instant New York Times bestseller in 2024. She spends her time between NYC and Hoboken, trying to decide what to make for dinner.
