Francesco Mattana

Francesco Mattana (@our_cookingjourney) is an Italian chef and social media sensation with a loyal global following of millions across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. Raised in Sardinia and surrounded by exceptional home cooks, he developed an early appreciation for seasonal ingredients and traditional island cooking. After working in kitchens in Sardinia, Francesco moved to Australia, where he opened the acclaimed Italian restaurant Ajó in Brisbane. In 2018, he relocated to the UK to focus on teaching, working with leading London cookery schools and later becoming Head Teacher Chef at Jamie Oliver’s Cookery School. Today, Francesco hosts classes, events, and demonstrations across the UK and Sardinia, sharing his passion for authentic Italian food with a worldwide audience. Eat Like a Sardinian is his debut cookbook.
