Cookbook author, host, educator and chef

Diane Kochilas is an award-winning TV host, educator, chef and author of 18 cookbooks, her most recent being The Ikaria Way: 100 Delicious Plant-Based Recipes Inspired by My Homeland, the Greek Island of Longevity. She takes inspiration from her home, her cooking school, and her family’s heritage on the Blue Zone-designated Greek island of Ikaria.

A New York City native, Diane has been at the forefront of bringing healthy, delicious Greek and Mediterranean cuisine to a wide international audience for more than 25 years. She is the host and co-executive producer of the award-winning show, My Greek Table, a cooking-travel series about Greece and Greek cuisine airing on local PBS stations across the country. Diane also runs the Glorious Greek Cooking School on her native island Ikaria, and has consulted with Harvard University, Yale University and UMass Amherst to bring healthy Greek foods to their dining programs. Diane has released 18 books on Greek cuisine and won 3 IACP Awards. Her 2012 book, Country Cooking of Greece, was hailed by the New York Times as one of the best books of 2012.
