After failing to find a proper substitute in the US for the fresh, delicious extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) she enjoyed from her family’s olive trees in Southern Greece, Katerina Mountanos founded Kosterina to bring premium Greek EVOO stateside. Throughout the product development process, she learned that true, early harvest extra virgin olive oil is not only delicious, but loaded with powerful antioxidants called polyphenols that are clinically proven to reduce the risk of all chronic diseases. They like to call it an ancient ingredient with modern superpowers.
Now, Kosterina is on a mission to create a Blue Zone in every American home by celebrating wellness, family, and their Mediterranean heritage, beginning with the humble olive.
