In your first module, you'll learn a bit more about what this class is all about, how to navigate it, and who Dr. Vora designed it for. She'll also share a bit more about her personal story, and her path toward becoming a rebel psychiatrist who treats mental health issues without medication.

Anxiety 101

If you stop to look around, you’ll notice we’re in a crisis of anxiety. For many of us, anxiety permeates our friends, family, co-workers and community. In this session, Dr. Vora goes over the recent spike in anxiety.

7 LESSONS

Week 1: Halting Anxiety By Changing Your Bodily State

A lot of anxiety is just the body’s stress response, and stress can be brought on by so many different factors—both internal and external. Dr. Vora covers what some of the most common anxiety-inducers (and fixers) are, and reviews what exactly is happening in your body when you feel anxious.

Week 2: Zeroing In On Lifestyle Factors

So much of anxiety is tied to lifestyle factors like gut health, diet, and exercise. Dr. Vora reviews some of the biggest lifestyle culprits that may be causing you anxiety, and gives you some effective remedies for beginning to resolve them.

Week 3: Balancing Your Hormones & Getting Into eTOH

Now that you've learned about external lifestyle factors that may be increasing your levels of anxiety, it's time to learn about a few internal ones. Ellen Vora, M.D.

Holistic Psychiatrist

Ellen Vora, MD graduated from Columbia University medical school, received her B.A. in English from Yale University, and is a board-certified psychiatrist, acupuncturist, and yoga teacher. Dr. Vora takes a functional medicine approach to mental health–considering the whole person and addressing the problem at the root, rather than reflexively prescribing medication to suppress symptoms. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Vora also writes, blogs, contributes to two healthcare startups, and does corporate wellness presentations.
