Module 1
Introduction

In an easygoing manner, Charlie discusses and explains how fear can grip us and some new ways of understanding and moving beyond it. The best way to take this course is to watch all the modules sequentially, and as you move through the course you’ll learn about fearlessness from both an intellectual and experiential level. You can cap each session with the guided meditation at the end.

Fear can motivate us and fear can give us energy when it’s needed but most of the time all it does is paralyse us. Why do we have this powerful emotion and what gives it such extraordinary power over our every action? What could we do to incorporate the energy it gives us without being overwhelmed?

Module 2
Expanding Your Capacity

We all feel fear sometimes. That’s nothing to be ashamed of. The bigger question is how are you going to train yourself to deal with that kind of fear in the future? Will you shrink or will you expand?

Module 3
The Causes Of And Reactions To Fear

Let’s learn about the common element that underlies all fears. On a fundamental level what is fear? Why does it grip us? What does the Veda, one of the world’s oldest philosophical and spiritual traditions have to say about fear?

In this session you’ll learn to be more mindful of your body’s sensations in fearful moments. Your body has evolved to give you maximum power and energy in times of crisis. When you have full awareness of this energy you can change your fear-based paralysis into a state of flow.

Module 4
Overcoming Fear

Even in the toughest moments there is no need to be overwhelmed by fear. We can instead learn to be mindful in every moment so that the emotions and energy that flow through us in times of crisis can empower us and make us stronger.

In this meditation we will approach having unity of mind. We have already learned that fear is caused by a sense of duality. Talking yourself out of fear can be effective in the moment but will not give you expanded long-term capacity. Think of this exercise as being your daily training so that you won’t react as as fearfully in the first place.
