From the time she was 10 years old and her father gave her an electric typewriter for Christmas, Teri Robinson knew she wanted to be a writer. What she didn't know is how the path from graduate school at LSU would lead from her native Louisiana to Washington, D.C. and, eventually, New York City. A Southerner and a New Yorker down to her toes, Teri lives in Harlem—where she's been known to whip up a mean gumbo—with her two children, the loves of her life, and her little pooch, Nellie. She's a fan of all things music and film, a student of arts and culture, chef, urban explorer and an avid runner. She's currently training for her second marathon.
