Juice press ceo and founder Marcus Antebi opened his first store in may 2009. Inspired by his passion for raw foods and juices, Marcus left his family business to spread his wisdom and experience about the raw lifestyle. “There simply was no grab and go, 100 percent organic, cold pressed juice bar that served great tasting food,” says Marcus. “The consistency of the products was awful and no one got it right!”
Born in the age of cookie crisp and captain crunch when cereals were billed as “part of a complete breakfast,” Marcus had developed an appetite for white sugar, concentrated proteins and carbs by the time he was 20. “I was a depressed mess,” he says. Initially inspired by vanity (and the dream of his six-pack returning), Marcus went on to discover the science of weight control, vitality, and anti-aging.
Now in his 40s, Marcus has eliminated all processed foods from his diet – now 80 percent raw — and attributes this lifestyle to helping maintain his athleticism to a higher degree. “Juice press is more than a business for me. It is an investment in my health and the health of my family and friends,” says Marcus. “Through juice press I have managed to help my 70-year-old father lose 37 pounds and my 4 year old daughter start life loving healthy eating choices.”
