In 2001, Gross met the macrobiotic counselor to actress Gwyneth Paltrow, which led to a position as the Oscar-winning performer's personal chef. Gross was sought out and brought on board by the Chaya Restaurant Group in 2005 to help launch M Café. Gross has also assisted in the launch of a number of contemporary vegetarian restaurants in New York City and serves as a private chef and caterer for a celebrity clientele, specializing in macrobiotic cuisine.
