Jenni Gritters is a health journalist and certified yoga teacher from Seattle, WA. She covers the science of healthy living, focusing on the newest scientific research about living a satisfying life. She's especially interested in looking at which new health trends are legitimate and which are bunk. Lately, she’s been working to understand how the newest technologies are impacting our brains. She also writes outdoor adventure-focused product reviews and travel guides.
Jenni runs a weekly column for Medium’s health magazine Elemental, called The Health Diaries, and writes regularly for the REI Co-op Journal, Gear Patrol, mindbodygreen, Experience magazine, and more. She previously worked as an editor at The New York Times' product review site Wirecutter, where she edited longform health, fitness, travel, and outdoors content. You can also find her published bylines in The Guardian, Greatist, Outside magazine, Upworthy, FiveThirtyEight, Boston magazine, and more. She has a degree in psychology from Bucknell University and a masters degree in journalism from Boston University.
When she’s not at her keyboard, you can find Jenni teaching yoga and mindfulness, hiking, running with her puppy and husband, and cooking.
