Heng Ou is the founder of MotherBees, a food and lifestyle company based in Los Angeles dedicated to supporting women as they step into motherhood. Launched in 2010, MotherBees began as a unique delivery service offering specially crafted meals cooked with Eastern and Western ingredients to heal and replenish mothers in the days and weeks after giving birth. Its soups, congees, teas, and nut milks have been enjoyed by women across L.A., including many celebrities. Today, MotherBees is evolving into a line of shelf-stable foods and gifts for the new mother that will be available for sale and shipping nationwide in early Summer 2016. Its mission remains the same: to revive the lost art of mothering the mother. Heng Ou is a certified health coach from the Institute of Inte- grative Nutrition and a graphic designer who graduated from The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She lives in Sherman Oaks with her children Khefri, India, and Jude (aged twelve, ten, and eight).
