Cristina is the director of the Affordable Art Fair NYC spring edition and Regional Managing Director of Ramsay Fairs, the parent company of Affordable Art Fair. Cristina joined the company in 2011 and is dedicated to bringing her innovative and dynamic perspective to one of the world’s largest art fair companies.
A world traveler and international art enthusiast, Cristina believes that fairs are truly the heart of the contemporary art world, as they are the only place where galleries, collectors, professionals and visitors come together in one place to learn and exchange ideas in the most dynamic of atmospheres. Akin to Ramsay Fairs, her mission is to promote contemporary, living artists and make contemporary artwork accessible to all.
Over the past decade, she has amassed an extensive catalogue of fairs where she has worked, including the ADAA THE ART SHOW and The Outsider Art Fair, while directing the IFPDA Print Fair. Last year, Salmastrelli joined the board of The Art Therapy Project to help spread the important message of the use of art therapy as a vehicle to heal.
Born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey, Cristina currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband and 1-year old son, Rex. She is also an avid sports fan and a self-proclaimed foodie.
