Lululemon Is Dropping 4 Workout-Related Beauty Products At Sephora
Starting today, there are four brand-new beauty products that just launched under the Clean at Sephora umbrella: And they come from athleisure giant Lululemon. Lululemon's newest venture is called Selfcare, and each product was formulated to address a specific skin or hair care concern that can accompany sweat sessions.
"Over the years, we've heard the feedback that transitioning from sweat to life isn't always easy. Lululemon has always been in the work of creating solutions for sweaty problems, and our Selfcare line is an extension of that approach," said Sun Choe, chief product officer of the brand.
The initial collection (there's more to come later in the year, we're told) contains a dry shampoo, spray deodorant, moisturizer, and lip balm with prices that range from $14 to $48. First up, the No-Show Dry Shampoo absorbs sweat and oil post-workout, without leaving a white residue. But my favorite part? It's made with a combination of oil-balancing algaes so it's not irritating to your scalp. The hydrating Anti-Stink Deodorant allows for sweat, which is essential for helping you cool down during workouts, sans smell. It does this by including prebiotics that reduce the growth of odor-forming bacteria as well as zinc to absorb smell. It's hydrating thanks to the conditioning coconut oil. The Sweat Reset Face Moisturizer is breathable and helps calm red skin post. Finally, it also includes the Basic Balm Lip Balm to soothe chapped lips with shea butter and jojoba oil, as we tend to breath heavier during workouts.
They'll be sold online, at select stores, and (most exciting for us) as part of the Clean At Sephora collection. To make Sephora's clean list, the products need to be formulated free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban. And while the products contain a lot of natural ingredients, they do contains (safe) synthetics. The brand also notes that the products are "tested on athletes, not animals" and are Leaping Bunny certified. And if the quality is anywhere close to their leggings and sports bras, I think we're going to be big fans.
