The Flower Remedies Every Introvert Should Have On Hand This Summer

I'm an introvert and someone who desperately needs "alone time." Over the summer months, there are tons of barbecues, parties, beach trips, and vacations. So what does that mean? Lots of time with other people, which can be an introvert's nightmare. Don't get me wrong, I love my family and friends, but balancing the part of me that wants to curl up with Netflix and the part of me that wants to soak up the sun with loved ones can be a tough situation.

If you're an introvert, it's absolutely mandatory to carve out time to unwind and decompress—there's no way around it. But you can also use a natural remedy to get you out of your comfort zone: flower essences. Flower essences work on an energetic level on your spiritual, emotional, and physical health. You can take them under your tongue, in a compress, or in a warm bath. Here are the best flower essences for introverts:

1. Water violet to open your heart (and get out of the house).

Water violet helps you break out of your shell and find joy in connecting to others. If you tend to keep to yourself and feel separate in groups, it'll help you find the joy in being around others. Think of it as a heart opener not only for socializing but for appreciating the diversity of the people you meet.

2. White chestnut to ease racing thoughts.

Maybe you can't stop thinking about being home when you're out at a party, or perhaps you're hyperfocused on how you'll excuse yourself from a loud party (high volumes can be tough for introverts). White chestnut quiets thoughts and helps you stay in the present moment.

3. Beech for letting your inner (and outer) critic go.

Beech helps release judgment of yourself and others. It may inspire you to see the beauty in everything around you, including opportunities to get out of your house and out of your comfort zone.

4. Walnut for releasing limiting beliefs.

You may identify strongly as an introvert, and it's great to know yourself. However, we can easily get too attached to being a certain "type" of person. For example, you may think you're not the "type" of person to go on a group trip or attend a big party with people you don't know. Walnut helps let go of things that no longer serve us, including limiting beliefs about who we are and what we're capable of.

5. Golden yarrow to protect your energy.

Golden yarrow helps you stay connected to others while also protecting your own energy. Have you ever come home from a loud, crowded party and felt drained? Many introverts are also empaths, or people who are easily affected by the energy of those around them. Golden yarrow helps protect your energy so you always have a reserve.

Flower essences aren't going to make an introvert a social butterfly overnight. And thank goodness! We need introverts in the world for balance and diversity. What flower essences will do is give introverts the strength to soak up life's diverse experiences and be present for those they love. So take a drop of flower essences, and happy socializing! But don't forget to schedule time for rest and relaxation—whoever you are!

Did you know that introverts are the best people to live with? It's true. And that's just one of their many strengths.
