Gluten-Free Recipe: Sweet Potato Home Fries

Tired of walking away from breakfast feeling heavy and bloated? Getting bored eating the same high-carb, starchy meal? Mix it up a little with this tasty, vegan twist on an American staple. And the secret is ... sweet potato! Sweet Potato Home Fries are easy and inexpensive to make, and pack a HUGE flavor punch. Try them out for yourself!


  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1 large red onion
  • 1.5 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Wash sweet potatoes thoroughly. Wrap in aluminum foil and bake at 375 for 20 minutes, or until tender.

After sweet potato is tender, cut into pieces and combine in skillet with diced red onion, coconut oil, and spices.

Saute on medium heat until onions are caramelized.

Serves 4.
