Dairy-Free Recipe: Chocolate Chip & Berry Gelato

Why not bring Italian-inspired gelato to your home freezer with this rich, creamy, chocolaty dessert that's bursting with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants? It'll nourish your adrenal glands, support healthy hormones and promote sleep!

Enjoy this snack any time of the day, or to help you get to and maintain sleep, enjoy it 30-60 minutes before bed. Cacao is raw, unprocessed chocolate that's high in magnesium, which calms your nervous system and is known as a natural tranquilizer. Since cacao also reduces sugar cravings and regulates blood sugar levels, it’ll leave you feeling energized, as well as incredibly satisfied.

Choc-Chip Berry Gelato

Serves 2


  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 small handful of raspberries (frozen or fresh)
  • ¼ cup of cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of cacao nibs


Place all ingredients (except cacao nibs) in a high-powered blender.

Mix until it achieves a smooth, gelato-like consistency.

Divide into bowls or glasses and garnish with cacao nibs.
