Raw Recipe: 3-Ingredient Chocolate Ice Cream
Being a nutritionist and a raw foodie for several years, I know how to make fancy and impressive raw vegan gourmet dishes. But do I make them and eat them on a daily basis? No. No way. I don’t have time or a willingness to spend hours in the kitchen.
I like to eat simply, and most of my meals take less than 10 minutes to prepare. I've recently come up with this amazing raw dessert that is also perfect as a breakfast meal, pre- or post-workout snack or an afternoon pick-me-up.
It also satisfies any PMS cravings and has a potential to make a sad day brighter. It’s super simple, but the taste surprises me every time I make it.
I like to call it ‘Chocolate Nice Cream’
- 3 frozen ripe bananas (make sure you peel them before freezing)
- 2-3 heaping tablespoon of raw cacao powder (depending on how chocolaty you like it – I like it very dark)
- 5 tablespoons of shredded coconut
- Ground cinnamon, cloves or vanilla (optional)
Process all ingredients in a blender or food processor and enjoy immediately! If you feel creative, top it up with some shredded coconut, goji berries, dried cranberries or any other goodies you keep in your pantry.
