Forget potato chips!
Try baked zucchini chips
Here's a simple recipe using just a few ingredients:
- 1 zucchini (or more)
- Seasoning of your choice (Garlic, paprika, chili powder, use your imagination)
Preheat oven to 225 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick foil. Slice the zucchini and sprinkle with seasonings of your choice.
Bake 45 minutes. Rotate baking sheet, and bake an additional 30-50 minutes, until chips are crisped to your liking.
Want to cut back on soda? Good!
You wouldn’t eat 22 packets of sugar, so why would you drink them? Not to mention Aspartame, Phosphoric Acid, and artificial dyes. For a healthier substitution, try club soda with fresh fruit. Try freezing the fruit in ice cube trays to add frozen natural flavor.
My favorite guilty pleasure is pizza! For a quick basic pizza, use flatbreads with tomato sauce and topped with veggies, and simply skip the cheese and meat.
A fabulous and healthy alternative: top your whole grain dough with spinach curry sauce, eggplant, roasted garlic, and fresh basil.
Upgrade it again by adding added onions, tomatoes, chard, mushrooms, peppers, black olives, black pepper, nutritional yeast, and sprouts.
