Christy Turlington Inspires with New Documentary

Model, author, activist, yoga-mom, and now director Christy Turlington is no stranger to doing good. Christy, pictured in Gap's RED campaign to raise AIDS awareness in Africa, was also the first model to pose nude for PETA. Now she's just made a new film aimed to raise consciousness about maternal mortality in developing countries. The documentary film, No Woman, No Cry, will premiere later this month at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

Turlington says:

In 2005, while pregnant with my second child, I traveled with the organization CARE to El Salvador. As part of CARE’s water project, I visited a remote village where pregnant women and mothers of newborns had walked for miles to access clean water. For some, this was also their only opportunity to receive some form of antenatal and postnatal care.
