The Dalai Lama was asked about Tiger Woods' apology and he briefly commented, saying, "I think mainly whether you call it Buddhism or another religion, self-discipline, that's important. Self-discipline with awareness of consequences." He added that he didn't know who Tiger Woods was, and that self-discipline is among Buddhism's highest values and, when it comes to adultery, all religions "have the same idea."
