MBG Review: Lululemon's Wunder Under Pants
I haven’t seen as many tight black pants on the streets of New York since 1997, before the $100+ fashion jeans craze conquered Gotham. Well, the black pant is back, in a very, very different form. Enter Lululemon’s Wunder Under Pants. I have spotted these pants at many of Manahattan's fitness gems: Virayoga, Strala Yoga, Exhale, the S Factor, and also on the SoHo streets, outside the world of fitness.
For those aficionados of Lulu pants, the Wunder Under Pants are made from the same incredible Luon signature fabric, but fit more like a legging. During the winter months, the legging-like fit is perfect to wear under Ugg boots to the gym or even under a dress to work (makes changing for yoga class super easy). I love the versatility of these pants as they can easily go from yoga class to a light jog on the treadmill – the legging-like fit works great for running too! The pants have some great features for running, such as a faux pocket for a key and a place where you can put in your name and number for safety identification. I have lived in these pants this winter and can't say enough about the comfortable fabric, amazing versatility, and the flirty fit.
The Wunder Under assortment includes reversible pants (with some awesome color combinations), Wunder Under pants with zippers, and Wunder Under pants with bartacks. All styles are priced under $100. Although the price tag is a little steep, I consider all of Lulu pants investments, as I still work out in the Lulu pants that I purchased at the Whistler store in 2004. If the Wunder Unders don’t fall into your budget, Target C9 also offers some great fitted styles.
