After the birth of my daughter, a lot of unexpected challenges came my way. A birth complication left me unable to walk for a month, my hormones were raging, I found breastfeeding nearly impossible, and I was sleep-deprived beyond belief. The love I felt for my daughter was deep, but the image I had in mind of what motherhood was a lot different from what was actually happening. Truth be told, I was off to a rough start.
