You can look at face mists as highly evolved forms of those spray bottles we used to squirt ourselves with as kids. Sure, they may not be entirely essential to your skin's well-being (although I think they are), but they're a really, really nice addition to your beauty routine.

If you love the scent of roses, you'll love this DIY rosewater mist. Rosewater has tons of beneficial properties for skin, from hydration to calming inflammation post workout, to radiance-boosting and glow-giving sheen. Best of all, the simple mix of rosewater, rose oil, and witch hazel makes this facial mist smell delicately sweet. Use it to freshen up throughout the day, after you've broken a sweat, popped a pimple, had a way-too-hot shower, or even for a quick calming vibe during a date!

DIY Rose Facial Mist

  • Rose oil
  • Rose petals (the will and organic roses at Wholefoods are beauteous)
  • Rose quartz (optional)
  • Witch hazel
  • Distilled water

  1. Soak fresh rose petals in distilled water overnight with a piece of rose quartz if you so fancy!
  2. In the morning use a funnel and pour the rosewater into a spray bottle ¼ of the way up.
  3. Then fill up the remaining with witch hazel, add in 20 drops of rose oil, and voilà, you've got the rose face mist o'dreams!
