Hey guys (and gals), you might want to put down those pills and start stocking up on kale and quinoa because eating plant-based is actually better for your sex drive than Viagra.
In this great three-minute video, our friend Kathy Freston talks to Dr. Terry Mason from the film Forks Over Knives (go see it if you haven't already) about the relationship between our diet and our sex drive. Dr. Mason says that the circulation that gets blocked in the heart from a diet high in animal protein an fat, first gets blocked below the waist in the penis, resulting in erectile dysfunction. The same holds true for women as blood flow gets blocked in the clitoris.
So... if you want to be functioning as best as you can beneath the sheets, you might want to embrace a plant-based diet.
