Danielle Walker has been living with a gut-related autoimmune disease for years now and lends her support to a whole community of people living with the same (and similar) diseases. She is the best-selling author of Against All Grain and has a new book out, Danielle Walker's Against All Grain Celebrations: A Year of Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, and Paleo Recipes for Every Occasion. In the clip below, Danielle opens up about why keeping a food journal was key in her recovery.

Through recording what she ate, she found that grains, legumes, and dairy were irritating while bone broth and fermented foods helped heal her gut. Danielle is in conversation with internationally known integrative medicine expert Dr. Frank Lipman, founder and director of the Eleven Eleven Wellness Center, author of The New Health Rules, and long-standing member of the mbg family—he received mbg's first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award!—and mbg executive editor Olessa Pindak.
