Dr. Aseem Malhotra is a London-based cardiologist, founding member of the Public Health Collaboration, and an adviser to the National Obesity Forum. A leading voice in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease, he has dedicated his life to showing people how to achieve true health—not just the kind that comes out of a bottle.

According to Dr. Malhotra, saturated fats can be a part of a well-balanced diet, as long as they're paired with plenty of vegetables, nuts, and protein. In this clip, he sits down with mbg founder and CEO Jason Wachob to dispel the myth that a low-fat diet lowers LDL cholesterol. He then lists the type of proactive lifestyle changes that actually work to protect against heart disease and other chronic illness.
