Dr. Joel Kahn is the founder of the Kahn Center for Cardiac Longevity and author of The Whole Heart Solution and Dead Exes Don't Get Bonuses. The cardiologist and professor is now on a campaign to prevent 1 million heart attacks through healthy living.

Here, he tells mbg founder and CEO Jason Wachob about the fats and oils he recommends for heart health. A proponent of the Mediterranean diet, Dr. Kahn sees vegetable oils leading the way in the fight against heart attacks. But he's a little less sold about a beloved staple of the wellness world: coconut oil.
