I’ve spent the past year thinking a lot about “wellth”—the idea that success is found in a lifestyle devoted to mental, physical, and emotional health. (I even wrote a book about it.) In this series, we’re celebrating visionaries who embody what it means to be wellthy.

Melissa Ambrosini is the best-selling author of Mastering Your Mean Girl, a motivational speaker, and a self-love teacher. She aims to teach women how to master their "inner Mean Girl" by smashing through limiting beliefs and ditching their self-doubt. This way, they can start truly living the life of their dreams. Favorite healthy place to eat?

I love Nourish in New York and Bei Amici in Sydney.

What's your favorite way/place to escape to get some nature?

The Noosa Hinterland in Australia or Queenstown in New Zealand. My favorite things to do are hike, swim in the ocean, and soak up the sun.

What's your favorite way to break a sweat?

I love hiking, yoga, and reformer Pilates.

Favorite holistic treatment?

I am a sucker for a good (and deep) massage.

How do you de-stress/practice self-care?

Meditation, yoga, cooking a beautiful meal, taking a coconut oil bath, walking or hiking in nature, diving in the ocean, reading, connecting with Mother Nature, laughing with my husband, and feeling the sun on my skin.

What does wellth mean to you?

Without your health, you have nothing because you can't do the things you want to do. So, we must make sure we are "wellthy" within our health. When I am "wellthy," I feel my best and I can show up to the world as the best version of me. It's so important!

Any advice for someone who's looking to build a life that they love and follow their passion?

Just do it! Don't let your inner mean girl (or bad boy) stop you from following your heart. You can achieve whatever you wish. All you have to do is master your inner critic and take inspired action toward your dreams. It's all there at your fingertips. We just need to reach out and grab it with both hands ;)
