Yoga In Dubai: 15 Beautiful Photos Of The City's Yogis

Visiting the Middle East has always been part of my plan for world travel—and more specifically, photographing beautiful yoga poses.

Dubai is one of the most visited cities in the world, so it was only right that I start there. Dubai is about 85 percent immigrants and 15 percent local Emirates. Dubai has one of the largest yoga communities in the Middle East, and it's an absolutely beautiful setting—hot weather, desert beaches, and wadis (valleys or ravines).

I connected with more than 25 yogis who live locally, and we shot all over. Dubai is very liberal, but there are still some restrictions. We shot in a very tasteful and quick manner and were careful not to offend anyone. In the images below, you'll also see one local girl in full Dubai dress, which is highly restricted, but she agreed and we took an amazing photo of her in Lotus pose. Here are 14 beautiful images I was able to capture in Dubai with the help of my yogi friends.
