Lakers Andrew Bynum Gets His Playoff Meditation On

It's playoff time in the NBA, which for many of basketball's finest means it's time for high-intensity workouts -- but for Lakers center Andrew Bynum this means it's time for meditation.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Bynum has been spending all his spare time reading The New Psycho-Cybernetics, a book which stresses positive thinking, goal-setting, visualization, and meditation. Bynum says:
"It's all about strengthening your mind, acquiring your mind and allowing your mind to work for you than letting it run you. It's a useful tool to get what you want."

"For me, the biggest [thing] is the meditation part about the book... It really helps. It's a mental theater and visualization tactic and helping you believe. It's a good book. I think a lot of people should read it. It's about sharpening your mind."
Namaste to that!

I love that more pro-athletes are realizing how meditation can enhance their performance.

Back to the book... has anyone read The New Psycho-Cybernetics?
