Adult Coloring Books Just Got A Little More Magical
It's hard to say which we love more: Harry Potter or coloring books. So, learning about Scholastic's series of Potter-themed coloring books was a major highlight of our year (so far). Timed to heighten anticipation the Potter spinoff film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (you sneaky devils, you), the three-book series will be available as a complete set as of March 29.
You can already order the first two books in the series — and if you're anything like us, you'll be done with them before the third one even hits the shelves. The Harry Potter Coloring Book, which celebrates the original series and its major themes, came out in November. The Harry Potter Magical Creatures Coloring Book (priming you for Fantastic Beasts with a focus on the film's nonhuman fixtures, like dragons, merpeople and house-elves) is available as of this week!
The third coloring book (Harry Potter Magical Places & Characters Coloring Book) delves more deeply into some of the most meaningful moments and locations in the Potter series, providing more intricate renditions of scenes in The Great Hall and the Dursleys' living room, giving more advanced colorers — and more die-hard fans — an even richer experience. For that, we'll have to wait until the end of March. #muggleproblems
If you get through the first two before March 29 (because, duh), here are six more mbg-approved coloring books — including one all about Bill Murray — to keep you busy.
