2-Minute Workout For A Ballerina Body

We're so excited to introduce you to Tiekka Tellier, a former principal dancer with the Houston Ballet, who now owns Everyday Ballet, a beautiful studio in downtown Manhattan. Get a taste for her classes with this quick workout!

This step (called emboité) is the equivalent of ballet jogging (very, very pretty jogging!) and gets your heart rate going while working legs, core, back, and arms.

Keep using your core to lengthen out the crown of your head to prevent the spine from collapsing as you move. Tip the heels forward to lift the foot off the floor — they do not need to be high, just nicely tipped. Allow the shoulders to fall away from the ears. Keep breathing!
