You Need To See This Epic Drone Footage Of Two Huge Whales Swimming Alongside A Paddleboarder
There's nothing like some good old fashioned human-animal bonding to get the weekend started off right.
At the end of September, an aspiring filmmaker named Jaimen Hudson posted his stunning drone footage of two whales swimming next to a paddle boarder, his neighbor Dave Price, off the coast of Esperance in Western Australia.
Between the calm, clear, turquoise water, the slow, delicate movement of the whales, and the fact that it's set to Jack Johnson's "Imagine," the video is the epitome of serenity.
"It just so happened that he was out at the time, and a few people let me know there were whales on the beach and it all just went from there," Hudson explained. “They were really curious and came over to meet [Dave] ... Just very inquisitive about him, I don’t think it was really that dangerous at all."
Talk about right place at the right time.
According to Mashable, Hudson is a quadriplegic who has lost functionality in some of his limbs due to a motorcycle accident. Even though he can't use his fingers, he can still use his thumbs to control the drone — and, apparently, create awe-inspiring works of art with it.
