Chrissy Teigen's got it all: the modeling career, the angel-voiced husband, the show, the upcoming cookbook, the down-to-earth Instagram persona. What else could she possibly need?
Well, according to the press, she needs kids. During an appearance on Tyra Banks’s new lifestyle talk show FABLife, the 29 year-old supermodel talked about the media's obsession with what's going on in her womb — and she's sick of it.
Here's what she had to say:
I will say honestly, John and I are having trouble. We would have kids five, six years ago if it’d happened. But my gosh, it’s been a process! We've seen fertility doctors, and then once you open up about those things to other people, you start learning that a lot of other people in your life are seeing these people, and they have this shame about it.
So, anytime somebody asks me if I’m going to have kids, I’m like, "One day, you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who’s really struggling, and it’s going to be really hurtful to them." And I hate that. So, I hate it. Stop asking me!
This candid confession caused Tyra to open up about her own struggles with fertility, as well:
For a long time, when I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, "In three years, I'm gonna have kids." Then I turned 24: "In three years, I'm gonna have kids." And then just every single year I kept saying that, and then after a while, it's like, "Okay, now I want to," and it's not so easy.

The point is: Don't ask women about their family plans. You never know what they're going through. They'll tell you if they want to.
