Watch What Happens When Exes Discuss Why Their Relationship Ended

Tears. Lots and lots of tears.

As a result of the Ashley Madison hack, cheating has been a big part of recent public discourse. But it's been a major issue amongst couples way before this whole mess.

Meet Ali and Andrew. They were college sweethearts who dated for seven years until they broke up two years ago. As part of an online video project called {The And}, which "focuses on couples asking each other intimate questions and receiving honest, candid answers," the former couple sat down face-to-face to talk openly about what made their relationship fall apart — which includes Andrew's infidelity.

"Why did you cheat on me so many times?" Ali asks him first.

"I did not, like ... do the act of cheating. And I never slept with anybody else." By this, he means he did everything but sex. "I was ... interested ... in other options," he finally admits.

The interaction, as you can imagine, continues in this heart-wrenching manner, but they are able to look back at some things positively, sharing their favorite memories from their relationship.

"You came over and danced with me and rubbed my feet," she says at one point, smiling.

It's refreshing to see the relationship issues so many of us deal with addressed head-on, especially since so many breakups leave us with unanswered questions, and to see these exes finally get that closure.
