Mindfulness Meditation Helps Hot Flashes

A new study found that mindfulness mediation dramatically improved the quality of life for women who experienced severe hot flashes. In the study, researchers had women who experienced at least five or more hot flashes a day take a weekly 2.5 hour mindfulness class focused on body awareness, meditation, and stretching. The women also had CDs to help guide them through the program, which lasted eight weeks.
