What This 92-Year-Old Man Did For His Dying Wife Will Move You To Tears
Whoever said life isn't a fairytale clearly never met Howard and Laura — a couple that's been married for 73 years.
Before Howard, 92, left to fight in WWII, his wife Laura, 93, sang "You’ll Never Know" to him, to make sure he left confident about how much she cared about him.
And earlier this month, Howard was finally able to return the favor. As Laura prepared to pass away, he serenaded her with the same tune, stroking her face tenderly. Their granddaughter caught it all on film and posted it to her Facebook.
Needless to say, it's a tearjerker — but it restores our faith in true love.
In her Facebook post, Solari wrote, "Moments before this video began, when Grandma heard that Grandpa was in the room, she asked if she could hold him. Grandpa cannot stand on his own, but he immediately pulled his wheelchair close to her bed ready to make it happen."
Though barely audible, you can hear Laura telling Howard repeatedly that she loves him and to "behave."
A minute into the video, Laura sings, "You outta know, for haven’t I told you."
And Howard finishes the line: "Soooo a million or more times."
This display of affection lifted her spirits so much, hospice eventually deemed her well enough to go live out her remaining few days in the comfort of her own home, where she is currently resting peacefully.
