Crystal Renn on Yoga & Meditation

Crystal Renn started modeling at age 14 and shortly after developed an eating disorder. Years later she realized she had a problem, her eating pendulum swung the other way and became a plus-size model. She then wrote a book, Hungry, detailing her battles with food and the pressures of modeling.

In the past year, Crystal has lost much of her plus-size figure (she's now a size 8), and in coping with the breakup of her marriage, she's embraced a healthier lifestyle.

The UK's Daily Mail reports on Crystal's evolution as a model and mentions her interview with NY Magazine in which she talks about two of our favorite things -- yoga and meditation:

"I think I probably have a good relationship with the exercise that I do do. I’m taking care. I’m just in a really good place. I do hiking. I do yoga, but nothing crazy, just in my house. It brings me peace. And a lot of meditation. All of that stuff. Because I tend to be a stressed-out person. I’m a perfectionist, I cannot lie. And I found out that I cannot change that about myself, but what I can do is learn to manage it and channel it in a better way."

Yoga and meditation as tools to manage and channel stress in a better way. I think she nailed it!
