You know that wave of panic you feel when you think you've lost your cellphone, patting your pockets frantically? Or what about leaving the house with a 10% charge? Depending on the level of anxiety you experience in these instances, you could have "nomophobia," or "no-mobile-phone-phobia," according to social psychologists at Iowa State University.
Caglar Yildirim and Ana-Paula Correia have developed a 20-item nomophobia questionnaire, which will be published in an August edition of the journal Computers in Human Behavior (login required for full version).
