Why You Don't Have To "Clear Your Mind" To Meditate

Many people balk at the idea of meditating because the thought of sitting quietly is, frankly, more frightening than it should be. The good news is that this fear doesn't have to be an obstacle; in fact, sitting still and "clearing your mind" don't have to be a part of your meditation practice at all.

Vedic meditation expert Emily Fletcher came by the MindBodyGreen offices to share some hot tips as part of our Speaker Series. It turns out that you don't have to have some supernatural ability to stop all movement and thought to start meditating!
